Lucy Shule is a Senior Lecturer and currently the Director of Studies at the National Defence College – Tanzania. She holds a Doctorate from the University of Newcastle (Australia), B.A and M.A in Political Science from the University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania). She has been working in Defence and Security for more than two decades.  A recipient of several awards, Lucy is also a member of numerous professional organisations and a guest lecturer to various academic and professional institutions. Her research interests and the focus of her writings are in security studies, international relations, conflict resolution, diplomacy and Tanzania’s foreign policy.
